" He sings a song of the younger world, which is the song of the pack."When the last sentence vanished from my eyes,I can still perceive an echo of a song - a wild song, which knocks up my dizzy mind that always cheerfully sink into the so-called civilized world without questioning.Wild,is no longer a symbol of the law of jungle but a headspring where streams out love, passion, bravery, loyalty, friendship, venture, competition and tolerance all these virtues can easily be found in the Call of the Wild.

Jack London is a worldwide renowned novelist. His stories successfully reflect the contradictory views of man's nature and destiny in and against the wild, and his "fight to survive" notion has gained him and his works timeless popularity, particularly, the Call of the Wild

It tells a story of a gigantic dog, named Buck, who is stolen from a rich and comfortable home and forced to learn to survive as an Alaskan sled dog.Buck,at first,is too savage for the company of man until he coincidently encounters his beloved master-kindhearted John Thornton. Finally,John's incidental death breaks Buck's last tie to the man and drives him into his long-desired wild with his pack.In the story,Buck and John simply adopt themselves to answer the call of the wild. When it comes to Buck's mind that one day he will eventually leave John- his master, all he wants to do is just to help him finish the gold-rush-trip.He " from then on,night and day, never put a halt,in desperation,he burst into long stretch of flight, did not to stay him…" Buck wished to remember John's image forever,he "for two days and nights never left camp, never let Thornton out of his sight. He followed him about at his work, watched him while saw him into blankets at night and out of them in the morning…" When I read these words I just could not hold my tears bursting. Can a real man devote himself to loyalty and friendship in such a way?On the other hand,John Thornton is not only a dog-lover but also a brave and venturous man.He is so straightforward and simple that makes him an accommodating he firmly roots a goal into his heart,it seems that nothing could prevent him from accomplishing it except death.I do not know whether the persistence is the most vital element to make a man successful, but what I know is that you are not far away from success once you occupy it.

It is Jack London who plunges me into the animated wild from the hustle-and-bustle and from desperate city. There,I merely cannot deny the attraction of Buck's bark, which enlightens me to pursue another lost half of the nature in mankind, and to dig out a true meaning of life.Dare we imagine that London intentionally employs Buck to set us a model with perfect characters? The answer is affirmed. We,as animals, are from the wild but shedding off more and more wild signs, which demonstrate us as the "uncivilized".However, who can fully guarantee that we have not overlooked some essential wild-endowed virtues?Especially, nowadays,it seems more crucial for us to stop looking at the post-industrialized world and to ponder for a while. When cheats, betrayals, lies, lusts and crimes stuff a materialized society, whether London uses this novel to help himself escape the reality or warn the earthy people,to us,modern man,is all the same.It appears horrible that in modern society many people are enthusiastically talking about how to build up "special relations" to the authority, deceiving and lying to each them life is a mask-wearing process rather than a hard work.Every time, you browse WebPages, scandals in politics, business, the entertainment circle and even on campus crowd into your eyes.Oh,what is the essence of human beings? What is the civilization to us?Do we need to look back at where we came from?Is it good or bad for us to speak out what we think and to do what the consciences demand us to?Are we wasting talents given by the mighty nature?Be an honest, straightforward, warmhearted, emotional and responsible man or be a shrewd, cold hearted and astute hypocrite? While embracing the "civilized" rubbish,we are losing those good virtues, which are the calls of the we lose them,we are to lose ourselves, and we will get nowhere.I wish this dreadful thought is totally a fallacy, but, now,it is chilling me day when I happen to stand on the top of a grand mountain to observe a boundless prairie enveloped by the sapphire firmament and combed by gusts of the rhythmical west wind,a morning sun sprinkles me her warmth and brilliance in a graceful way, however,at that moment,I am afraid that I cannot appreciate these beauties,I am a lost " civilized man" then.

Please, please do not let come true while we are still able to answer the call of the wild.

Today,I read the call of the wild, which can let people into the world of a dog.The dogs name is buck.It does not act as a good friend in human society, but as a wild and cruel soul role, which has benefited me a lot.

Buck,a dog who lived in the judges house since childhood,is a hybrid of St.Bernard and Scottish shepherd. He inherited his parents weight, skeleton size and breed. He lived a carefree life until people found a yellow precious soft metal.

After being kidnapped and trafficked, buck, who has the flavor of nobility, was severely beaten for the first time in his life. After being beaten several times,he understood a truth: I cant win if I fight with a man with a stick.A stick is a key,a key that can awaken Bucks primitive nature.Let it understand the survival law of "the law of the jungle, the survival of the fittest".

Buck began to go into the ice and snow and pull sleds for people. His companion Parker taught him how to steal food to satisfy his hunger, because to eat,you must steal.Learned to dig a hole to keep warm from berry. But what buck learned most was a silk haired dog, which made him recall the primitive killing of his ancestors.

The silk haired dog used to be the leader of his companions, but he challenged buck again and again to find fault. At first,Buck was tolerant again and again, but finally,Bucks instinct was activated by provocation again and on the bite, tear and bloody and crazy tiger wolf beating of his ancestors,he became active, knocked down the silk haired dog and took the place of the leader dog.

But once the wild was activated and awakened, the call in the forest seduced buck.It was a bleak, scary, creepy call, but buck howled happily together. The nature of primitive animals became stronger and stronger in him, which was reflected in a hunt. His endurance made buck taste his bloodthirsty desire and the pleasure of killing

Competition in human society is the embodiment of ancient wildness, which brings the desire and barbarism of all things.Like buck, the fact tells it that when there are only conquerors and conquered in the world, the unyielding fighting spirit from the depths of nature is awakened and let it know that this is the value of life.

But wildness is not only cruel,it also brings friendship, ancient civilization and crystallization. When Bucks last owner died,he let out a long howl. This is loyalty, sad and shocking.

Wild,it makes the world full of vitality and pushes the world into hell.It is cunning, loyal and savage, and brings friendship. This is the real life, colorful, brilliant and endless. The call of the wild comes from the depths of the secret heart. Also let me understand the truth of "the law of the jungle, the survival of the fittest".

The story sounds like just a dog tale at first--a dog,Buck,is kidnapped from his fortable life in California and sold as a sled dog for the Alaskan gold rush. While he endures the wilderness and the other dogs,Buck learns that survival es only with tooth and fang. This lesson brings him very close to his forbears, the wolves.

If you look deeper,Call of the Wild is as much a story of humans as it is a dog tale. Buck encounters various inpetent masters who try to break his spirit. Are we like this? But Buck also learns to trust a master who is gentle and gives love. We can be like this, too.

Call of the Wild is not a story for the squeamish or very young. By involving us in the characters' lives,Jack London tells the truth. It is a life-and-death war between the harsh land and the soul every day. There is blood,death,cruelty--but it's the truth.

The call of wildnessLearning to love and care for me sitting on the sofa alone, thinking about what I had just read, my eyes filled with tears of sadness, and my heart was filled with angry flames. It awakened my tired soul, which was covered by the cruelty and selfishness of the secular world. This is my real feeling after reading "lonely in the fog".Charles Dickens, a famous British writer, wrote "me and this book" It not only makes me feel the goodness and evil of all the characters in the novel, but also makes me feel what this indifferent society lacks and what I am talking about in the depths of the supreme resources. It is different from the mineral resources and oil that we have. What is often mentioned is the abstract emotion and some spiritual thorn that each of us yearns for The philanthropic figures created by Dickens in his novels are what we really need in our life. They express their love and care to others, just like the drizzle falling on the ground. This is deeply engraved in my heart. Mr.Brownlow is such a person. A few days ago, he had a watch carefully made by two skilled young thieves, the cunning dodge And Charlie Bates stole it. He naturally thought it was Oliver. He was an orphan and was forced to live with a gang of thieves. He did so because he was the only one in the neighborhood who was angry after the theft happened. He caught Oliver and took him to the police station, where a grumpy, unfair magistrate worked for him, and Oliver was later watched by a bystander Mr.Brownlow took the wounded, poor Oliver, back to his own home. Oliver lived happily and freely for several months as if he were Mr. bill.

The first work of Jack London I read is Love of Life, which is an article of our junior high school textbook. It is about the story how Bill survived at his journey in

wilderness. In this journey, he had to face the threaten of hunger and an ugly wolf. In order to preserving his life, the only way was to learn to adapt to the surrounding enviornment and struggle with nature.

It was because of this article that I was fond of Jack London ’s writing style. Then I had read his other novels, such as A Piece of Steak and The Strength of The Strong, their same topic is only the most strong person can live a happy life in the fierce competitions.

The Call of The Wild is not an exception.

Buck, a gigantic southern dog once lived in rich and

comfortable home, was stolen and forced to learn to survive as an Alaskan sled dog with the Alaskan gold rush. Life in the North was not easy, as a meek domestic dog, Buck had

never experience the cruelty of the life and dead struggle, nor had he learnt the guile and cheating. But in the wild north, club is the reign of primitive law, a man with a club was a lawgiver, if he wanted to survive, he had to try his best to fit to jungle competition environment.

Everything needs to needed to learn, everything needed to fit. No one can help him, the person he could count on was just himself. To our pleasure, Buck learnt those lessons rapidly after cruel domesticated courses. Moreover, he even became the leader of the wild wolves of the north.

The most unforgettable lesson Buck learnt was natural selection, survival of the fittest, which is the main topic of Darvin’s The Evolution Theory. In fact, the competition in the modern society is as fierce as in the wild north. We need master a good knowledge of many aspects, we need to deal with interpersonal relation as well as unspoken rules. We can’t change the environment in which we live, our only choice is to learn to change ourselves.

The other lesson I learn is the learning ability is of great importance. It is because Buck was smart enough that he could fit to his survival environment rapidly. At an unfamiliar place, he could always master the survival skills by observe other dogs. If he didn’t do so, he was likely to be weeded out. In our modern society, the learning ability is equally important, everything can change, only our knowledge, intelligence and work experience are belong to us forever.

As far as I concerned, Jack London’s description of a story is always slow, but quite firm at the same time. He always acts as a spectator to tell us about the story and reproduces the scene vividly, so that we even believe his stories are true. On account of his legendary living experience, the people that he written are tough and persistent, they own strong heart and great faith. What interest us are not the stories themselves, but the vivid roles in his stories.

When I went to the school library to borrow books,I accidentally saw The Call of the Call of the Wild! Jack London wrote it! classic! I got it without hesitation.

He has been lying with me for two months and has never had time to watch days ago,I finally opened my at the sharp words, the profound description of wilderness, and his profound exposure to capitalist society,I can't stop.

Booker,a dog born in the south, was sold to some place in the north by an unreliable he was born in a civilized city in the south,he had never seen snow and did not know that the way of life here was the law of the Curry soon realized that she was killed by another sled was forced to fight for survival in the environment of the original dignity disappeared, and his original wildness slowly pain and dying,Booker was saved by John then on,Booker felt the warmth of love and thanked him for his John Thornton was killed,Booker finally broke off the connection with human by the voice of the wilderness,he joined the wolves and returned to nature.

This book is a novel with the theme of animals, full of twists and turns, vivid and interesting, with a certain philosophical ending, giving people a certain is a very strong refused to let go,but he tried every way to free himself from other dogs and become the lead dog among sled dogs.

What touched me most was that he was so loyal to his master that he jumped down without is smart and sometimes very competitive, but never takes care of everything, grasps the best opportunity, and attacks decisively without may be the spirit we should learn!
